About Me

I’m a PhD researcher in the Centre for Global Women’s Studies in NUIG. My research focuses on the lives of African migrant women living in Ireland. I’m especially interested in Violence Against Women; gendered shame, stigma and discrimination.

Previously, I worked in international development policy and programming. I like public health, participation and power, and equality. I’m suspicious of simple narratives.

I use this site as a landing pad for what I’m working on. The blog collects my thoughts on what’s going on in the world, in my head, and in the excruciating process of PhD-Doing. Articles are published pieces, mainly about gender and/ or migration.

I’m available to write things, do research, analysis, teaching and facilitation.
